Tourist Puts Seal Pup in Car
British Columbian wildlife officials have issued a warning against handling wild animals after a woman tried to rescue a seal pup by picking it up and placing it in her car.
"We ask people not to interact with or touch animals . . . and to leave the rescue to experts who have the resources to provide the best possible assessment and care," said aquarium veterinarian Dr. Martin Haulena.
