Surfrider Foundation - CT Chapter
Announcements
- Sign up for the CT Surfrider Yahoo! Group to let other members know about local events and start discussions.
- Minutes from previous meetings are available for download at the Yahoo! site.
- Tell us how you recycle your old wetsuit. We are looking for environmental friendly ways to recycle old wetsuits.
- The new Connecticut Science Museum would like the Connecticut Chapter to participate in some form as an exhibit in their sports lab. They are looking into a water sports display, that we would have our group info/mission on display, and it may also be tied to their environmental education program. Details are to be developed but it is great that we will be part of the Center when it opens in 2008!
- The Connecticut Chapter would like to thank Jeff Browning of BruRm at BAR in New Haven for his generous donation of $1,000 to the Connecticut Chapter. The funds were generated from the Restaurant/Brewpub’s annual Connecticut Real Ale Fest where Jeff graciously donates proceeds toward charitable organizations and causes. Jeff’s donation has made the current Stormdrain Contest possible as well as helped to establish basic funding to help the Chapter operate and become more active in the community. BAR is located at 254 Crown Street in New Haven. Visit BAR to taste some of the best pizza New Haven has to offer and to sample Jeff’s delicious in house homemade brews.
- If you would like to order the Connecticut Chapter T-Shirt, please send a check for $15 to Andrew indicating your size and color preference.
- If you would like to purchase a copy of Pepper McNeil's book "Kitty goes Californian", please contact Andrew. Pepper McNeil is a Connecticut born author supporting the Surfrider Foundation.
