The "Good Aloha" -- Thank you National
Monday, October 27th, 2003
On Friday night in Red Bank, New Jersey, the National board of Surfrider, the NJ Chapter & NYC chapter, Clean Water Act members, and the SEA members, were hosted by the Ferguson's in their beautiful home. We had the opportunity to share with some of the National board members our thoughts on where Surfrider stands in 2003 -- and our ideas for 2004...while eating some fabulous seafood! Thank you!
The following night, Surfrider forces from all over the country were brought together in a very special evening organized by the NYC chapter. As part of the National Board's first meeting on the east coast, the NYC chapter hosted an evening in Soho to bring the Board together with local New England Surfrider members. It was an amazing opportunity for everyone to compare notes and get acquainted with each other. In between surf movies, Rob Bailey introduced the Board, who in turn gave everyone a brief 'Aloha' and introduction.
Through such events, we are able to foster friendships and inject life into our cause. The New Jersey Chapter was there in full effect, and we would like to thank them for playing host to the Board over the course of the weekend. To all those members who showed up, we would like to extend a thank you for making the night a success. |
