| Versión española June 1, 2006 - A Delicious and Delightful Night at the Balneario
Rincón, PR - Over seventy-five people turned out for the Surfrider Foundation's first pot-luck dinner at Rincón's balneario (public swimming beach). The event provided an opportunity for residents to meet Surfrider members and learn about the Foundation's mission and efforts in Rincón.
Attendees feasted on an impressive spread of food and beverages well into the night and were entertained by Rincón's José and Jossie Santiago. The brothers, on flute and guitar respectively, entertained the crowd with a varied repertoire including traditional folkloric music, which they composed. In addition to bringing their favorite plates, guests brought family, friends and pets for the evening's gathering at the beach. Rincón, PR - Más de sententa y cinco personas se dieron cita a la prímera cena "Pot-Luck" de la Fundación Surfrider en el Balneario de Rincón. El evento dió la oportunidad a miembros de la comunidad a conocer miembros de la Fundación y aprender sobre los esfuerzos y la misión de la Fundación Surfrider en Rincón. Los que asistieron disfrutaron de una gran variedad de comida y bebidas y fueron entretenidos por los músicos cantautores José y Jossie Santiago de Rincón. Los hermanos, con flauta y guitarra, respectivamente, tocaron música popular, baladas, y trova, algunas compuestas por ellos mismos. Los invitados, además de traer un plato culinario favorito, también trajeron familiares, amistades y mascotas a la actividad playera. Más de una docena se hicieron miembros de la Fundación esa noche.
