It may not be here but someone, somewhere in the world is
surfing right now and we are all connected to that spirit. Every
year on the Summer Solstice - the longest day of the year -
Surfrider Chapters around the world recognize and celebrate
International Surfing Day.
Friday we'll be gathering at Deerfield Beach, (Just North Of The
Pier) for a beach cleanup at 7:00 PM and a free surf movie and
BBQ to follow at Island Water Sports. The surf movie is brought
to you by the efforts of the folks up at Island
Water Sports - Deerfield. We'll also share a little about
the positive things Surfrider is doing for our local community
but mostly we're just going to have fun and get a stoke on the
spirit and soul of the sport we love.

June 20th is International Surfing Day, so grab your board, head
down to the beach and go get wet! Afterward, join the Surfrider
Foundation as we host over 50 beach cleanup events across the
United States and Puerto Rico, as well as a dozen more events
worldwide. This year promises to be the most exciting
International Surfing Day yet, with a chance for everyone to get
their name and picture in Surfing Magazine, as well as win a
host of great prizes! For more
