Manhattan Beach Citywide Public Smoking Ban

The Manhattan Beach citywide outdoor smoking ban will make a major impact on reducing the amount of cigarette butt litter throughout the city, including sidewalks, streets, storm drains, parks, the beach, and the ocean, and also helps the city meet stringent EPA-established Impaired Waters and Total Maximum Daily Loads Program (TMDL) clean water standards.

Partner organizations: South Bay Fresh Air Coalition (including Surfrider, Behavioral Health Sciences, American Lung Assoc., American Cancer Assoc., American Heart Assoc., Los Angeles County Tobacco Control, and other organizations), Beach Cities Health District, Girl Scouts of America Troop 1445
