No Wind Turbines on Erosive Barrier Island
While the chapter is very supportive for clean energy initiatives, the proposal for a windfarm adjacent to the nuclear power plant would be detrimental to public lands (beaches, beach recreation and sea turtle habitat due their forward placement in the beach/dune area. This would set a terrible precedent that would infringe on the public's ability to enjoy the beach and encourages greater infrastructure development in a coastal high hazard area.
