The Army Corps wants to add yet another rock revetment at the base of the Montauk Point Lighthouse at the eastern end of Long Island. The Chapter wants to see the lighthouse moved back because the beaches down drift are starved of sand due to previous rock revetments. Moving the lighthouse is also a more economical and long lasting solution in the long run. Several waves around the base of the lighthouse would be impacted by the revetment.
