The Paddle starts at the Thompson boathouse in Georgetown, goes to the Key Bridge, to Roosevelt Island for a cleanup, and then back to the boathouse.
If you only attend one Surfrider event this year, make it this one!
Join DC Surfrider as we hold our 14th annual Paddle for Clean Water. Bring your surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or any other non-motorized watercraft and paddle with us from the Thompson Boat Center to the Key Bridge. On the way back, we'll be stopping at Roosevelt Island to pick up any trash we can find. Prizes for the first longboard, shortboard, and wahine to reach the bridge. Refreshments will be provided. Merchandise and educational material will also be available.
