Madewell and Surfrider Team Up to Protect Our Ocean, Waves and Beaches

Please meet our new partner, Madewell, a modern women’s denim brand with workwear roots- and a love of the beach.

Effortless, cool, artful, unexpected— these are some of the words Madewell returns to when describing the brand. They have proudly supported charities through innovative, awareness driven campaigns, like their denim recycling program with Blue Jeans Go Green. With summer right around the corner, we're excited to launch a collection with Madewell of limited-edition, beach-friendly pieces that features our mantra, Long Live the Beach. 

The five-piece capsule includes two t-shirts made with organic cotton, two pairs of sunglasses and a straw tote. Launching Tuesday June 13, 2017, the items will be available in select Madewell stores and at madewell.com/surfrider. By purchasing an item made especially to support the Surfrider Foundation, you can rep your love for our coasts all summer long.

Community consciousness and sustainability initiatives at Madewell are supported by their roll-up-your sleeves attitude and genuine motivation to inspire positive change. As part of this partnership, Madewell associates on both coasts teamed up with local Surfrider Chapters for an afternoon of cleaning up their beaches. The Madewell teams picked up over 140 pounds of trash at Rockaway Beach in New York and spent a day combing Venice Beach in Southern California. It's been a thrill to work with Madewell as they help us protect our coastline and inspire their community to support our ocean, waves and beaches.
