Stormdrain Design Contest

The third annual contest in celebration of Earth Day 2009 is over. The previous contests were a great success and we have the potential to make it an even bigger success next year.

This year's winner is Sarah Martin from Eli Terry Jr. Middle School in Terryville! Congratulations!!!

Every Connecticut School with a 6th through 8th grade is eligible to participate in the design contest. The contest is designed to inform and teach school children about the detrimental effects of non-point source pollution, encourage the arts, and help them educate people in their local communities as well. We also hope to build awareness of our local Connecticut Chapter to increase our membership base.

Connecticut Surfrider is still a very young chapter and we can use all the help from our continually growing membership to carry out programs as we grow. Thank you all for being part of the Connecticut Surfrider community!
