Our coastlines are our open spaces, they are public spaces. Coastal access is a right. The California Coastal Commission agrees with this and recently ruled The Strand in Dana Point needed to take down their gates which are locking the public out of the beach.

The BP spill in the Gulf is old news. It's moved from CNN to CSPAN and thus lost it's audience. Yet the locals are still dealing with the long-term affects of the spill.
