I heard a representative from NYC share the joke that the State flower is a plastic bag stuck in a tree. Looks like bags are taking over cities all over.

After four years of work the Portland chapter of Surfrider was given four days notice to rally the troops, organize multiple efforts and help drive home a victory against single-use plastic pollution in our oceans. The momentum continues.
