Fast forward to today and all bets are off.
Today people out on wood alaia's they've shaped themselves, on mutant Mini-Simmons bars of soap, riding closeouts with Danny Hess hand planes or having a ball on a stand-up. They are zigging and zagging on fishes. Cruising on singlefins, eggs and hulls. Finding speed they never thought was possible on boards ranging from 5' to 12'. Oh and every once in a while we'll see someone out on one of those a potato chip thrusters.
Fun is back, in a plethora of shapes and sizes. Check out the Japan Fish Fry... looks like fun is back there as well.
