Dubai sewage woes

I'm a closet architecture buff. Among my favorite new structures is the CCTV building in Beijing by Rem Koolhaas.

I know, this isn't an architecture blog...

I bring it up because if there is one place with arguably more active cranes in place than Beijing, it's Dubai.

I'm not a Dubai fan. ALL of its buildings (and concepts like Palm Island to the right) remind me of Trump's grotesque buildings in Manhattan.

It turns out Dubai has more issues to deal with than its more-is-more architecture. They have sewage washing up on beaches.
