As you might guess, I receive a fair amount of email traffic alerting me to coastal-related issues. This one is from a place I think of as somewhat of a "home away from home", Cape Cod. The larger story is in the Boston Globe here.
I don't mean to be flippant with my title but simply be... factual. We forget that our coastlines are dynamic. We forget that our coastlines haven't always looked the way they do now... we forget they are changing as I type this.
The oceans are a massive force. Currents are hemispheric in size. Sand moves. Coastlines erode or grow.
