The newest indicator that the TCA (the entity trying to put a fee-based road through a State Park in Ca.) is living in a parallel universe is their interest in taking the public out of the process of... taking State Park lands away from the public.
Read this piece. I just checked their new address, it's up in Anaheim... Fantasyland.
