When people think of Surfrider Foundation they think of grassroots involvement. People associate us with our 73 chapters in the United States and various affiliates and chapters outside around the planet. Most people don't know we're also involved with state and federal policy.

One way you can make a difference at a state level is to engage with your state's coastal program that regulations coastal development and beach access in your region. In California that group is the California Coastal Commision. Below are three pages that summarize various elements of their voting record over the past year.
