The fact that it's his ninth world title makes it even more notable.
Then throw in the fact that he's surfing against the powerhouses currently on tour and... it moves it into the stunning category.
Add all this to his newly formed Kelly Slater Foundation, which donated a a sizable portion of the proceeds from his kickoff event with Eddie Vedder for the Save Trestles fight... and we're looking at something we've never, ever seen before.
Kelly, thanks for continuing to redefine professional surfing.
