Lake Michigan organizes around water quality

One of the coolest things about Surfrider is that day-in and day-out people all over the world, on most continents and in many languages... come together around our mission. We don't plant chapters, they organize on their own and we assist in that process.

In the midwest of the US there is a group organizing in the Lake Michigan area. They are already heavily engaged, addressing a local water quality issue. Kudos to this team.

This is what a movement looks like... when an idea moves well beyond expected movement-friendly regions and starts to take root all over the globe.
