Maldives host underwater cabinet meeting

I was lucky enough to go to the Maldives last year. It is an other-worldly place... thousands and thousands of islands with the highest elevation being about ten feet. It's challenging to even think of another place on the globe to compare it to.

It will be the first nation to suffer massive loss to to sea level rise. In fact it will probably be the first nation to be entirely lost due to climate change and related sea level rise.

A few days ago the Maldivian government held a cabinet meeting underwater to underscore this future.

Coastlines all over the world are under seige. If you don't believe me, find a way to get to the Maldives. It will no longer be an abstract concept.
