Surfrider Foundation doesn't plant chapters.
We never plan or seed a chapter in a region where we'd like one.
We wait for locals to take the initiative and drive the process. If this happens a new chapter sprouts up. It's a very cool process to watch.
We think its better this way. Who better to understand the nuances of local coastal issues than locals? Thus, we are stoked to have a chapter in Alaska.
If you look at a map of the United States we now have chapters in almost every coastal state.
Welcome aboard to our newest chapter in the largest state in the union.
