North Shore video vingette: Kokua Hawai’i Foundation

Celebrity is currency.

Currency can be spent in many ways. It can be spent on 20" rims (things that seek more attention for a celeb) or it can be spent on programs that point away from the artist (pushing attention and value to others).

Jack Johnson may be seen by many as a rock star but in my mind he vastly transcends that category. He transcends that category because he's spending his currency on initiatives that will sprout real, meaningful value for decades to come.

Kim, Kaliko, Jack and the rest of crew at the Kokua Hawai'i Foundation are planting seeds.

Massive kudos to them for creating Kokua and for their excellent execution as they invest in tomorrow.
