A handful of core activists, board members and staff win the second largest Clean Water Act suit in United States history against two pulp mills in Humboldt County, CA. This victory put us on the map.Also in 1991, Pierce Flynn takes the helm and makes Surfrider cool. He got us on MTV and Baywatch and co-created three Music for Mother Ocean (MOM) CDs with an insane bevy of musical talent.
