Pro surf contests get (more) sustainable in Brazil

August 10 2011 | Events, Waves, Culture Shifting, DIY Activism, Surfing,

I was recently in Brazil and heard about the transformation that Surfrider Brazil had led with the nation's professional surfing contest series. At the helm of that effort is Glenn Suba, I sat down with him on the beach and asked him to share more on this subject.

Surfrider Foundation Brasil talks about making surf contests sustainable from Surfrider Foundation on Vimeo.

Here is a part 1 of a presentation deck which goes into more detail regarding what they are doing. Most (all?) appear to be applicable in other regions around the globe. To contact Glenn directly, his email is here.
