Refuse plastic bags, every time

We've all been there.

You're buying something... you're at the register paying and you come to the realization that you don't have a bag with you... and worse, someone has already packed your stuff into a single-use plastic bag.

Refuse the bag.

Just say no.

Unpack the bag yourself. Carry your stuff out loose. Put all your loose items back into a basket/cart and schlep them out.

Do whatever it takes to not take a single-use plastic bag.

Refuse single-use plastics.

Get up to speed on the issues around single-use plastics.

The reason I'm blogging on this is that I'm seeing more and more people doing this and I love the stories. I love the friction people sometimes feel with the store staff, etc. More and more my family and friends are feeling the need to take a stand and they are finding this is one of those places they can take a stand.

If this isn't enough go for bonus points and try to connect with the cashier to let them know why you are doing what you are doing... let them know that entire cities are baning these kinds of bags. Santa Monica is the latest to move over to this camp.

Refuse single-use plastic bags, every time.

Repeat after me
