Story of stuff… pops past 1.5 million viewers

I know. I posted on this film a month or so ago. I was impressed then and I continue to be impressed.

This film was re-jogged into my memory last night as a sat at Anjelika in Soho and watched Persepolis (visually arresting animation about Iran pre/post meltdown).

The Story of Stuff goes against all odds and delivers the goods. It's a twenty minute, animated dialog on our supply chain, distribution networks and consumer goods grave sites. It shows this linear, non-scalable mess with virtually no comedic relief and... is perhaps the best film I've seen in years.

Kudos to Annie Leonard and all that made this film. I can't say I'm surprised at the viewership stats as they have compiled an excellent primer in an easy-to-watch format.

Love it.
