Last Friday was our 25th Anniversary Gala.

Thank you to the over 700 people that attended, to the artists that created the stunning works that were a part of the third Art for the Oceans auction, to the volunteers that were the backbone of evening, to our staff and board, and to the musicians that delivered the goods.

The image above is of Perry Farrell bringing it all home with a version of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" that, for me, defined the evening. First of all the band shook the place with a version that rivaled every other version of that song I've heard. Second, the song was a metaphor for how this movement moves forward (with a whole lotta people contributing). Lastly, the song was an exclamation point on our last twenty five years and kicked us into a new gear for the years ahead. From my perspective... it was... perfect.

A HUGE thanks to all that plugged in to this event.
