Winter paddle out

The water in San Diego dropped to the high 50s a few weeks back and I broke out the booties. As I look at the photos below, sent to me from Chico up in Canada, I feel like something with lower status than a wimp.
Beyond that... look at these photos. How utterly gorgeous is this area and this set up? Blanketed by snow, dogs frolicking and a solo paddle out to empty waves.
As I look at these I feel like Drew Kampion should be whispering a Robert Frost poem in my ear.
