Don’t Frack Up Our Beaches

"NO LNG!" has been the battle cry of passionate "fracktivists," including members of the New York and New Jersey Surfrider chapters, fighting relentlessly to stop a proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project that could threaten fishing, tourism, jobs, and safety along the NY and NJ coasts.

Outfall? Get Outta Here
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control has approved a proposed outfall from a wastewater treatment facility near Delaware’s Rehoboth Beach. The Surfrider Foundation Delaware Chapter is fighting to make sure this ill-advised project doesn’t ruin one of the U.S.’s cleanest beaches.

Another Win for Clean Water
Hawaii’s not the only Surfrider region having all the clean water fun this month. Twenty-five hundred miles to the northeast, our Portland Chapter notched a win for surfers and beach goers at Oregon's second most used state park: Oswald West.
