By making a Surfrider Memorial Donation for ocean enthusiasts who have passed away, family and friends can honor those who loved the ocean in their lifetime. With a Surfrider Memorial Donation, the family who suffered a loss becomes a lifetime member of Surfrider Foundation. General memorial donations are designated to the Tom Pratte Memorial Scholarship Fund. This Fund was established to provide annual scholarships (as many as the Fund will allow) to qualified undergraduate and graduate environmental studies students and to provide grants for the establishment of educational programs and materials within Surfrider Foundation's mission. The following Memorial Donations have recently been made. The Surfrider Foundation extends good thoughts to all those who have lost a loved one. Suze Albright, New Rochelle, NY Patrick Bennett, Pacific Beach, CA Mark Forsyth, Bay Head, NJ Marie Jensen, Lombard, IL Joseph Pereira, San Mateo, CA Wayne Rothenberg, El Segundo, CA The 1999 Tom Pratte Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Mery Apple of Humboldt University. Mery is a junior studying Environmental Engineering. |
