Building on our 1999 National Campaign, the Surfrider Foundation is continuing its efforts to educate members and the general public on the importance of clean ocean water. The ultimate goal of this campaign is to see the successful passage of legislation that protects the health of surfers and all ocean users. This effort will include a grassroots campaign to educate the public on the importance of national water quality standards (BEACH Bill) and an increase in citizen water testing.
