On October 19, 2002, 1500 Boy Scouts came ashore on Thompson Island in
Boston Harbor for their annual "Camporee." The Massachusetts chapter of the Surfrider Foundation was on hand reminding kids to take care of our beaches and shores. Scores of kids took part in our poster contest, during which they made signs to be hung around the community. Our favorite slogan
created by the kids: "Stash your trash, don't make it splash."
