Clif Bar has partnered with the Surfrider Foundation to make this year's
drive the best ever. With their help, we are able to sweeten the pot
by offering prizes to the top producing chapters. And what prizes they
are. And which members count in the chapter drive. *
For
the chapter that recruits the most members overall, Clif Bar is generously
providing a once-in-a-lifetime adventure getaway for two to Tonga! This
amazing prize package includes roundtrip airfare for 2 from Los Angeles,
CA to Tongatapu, Tonga. This 8 day/6 night prize package also includes
lodging at the Ha'atafu Beach Resort, with breakfast & dinner, water,
coffee & tea daily per guest.
Our runner up will receive a custom shaped surfboard, shaper to be announced!
This is sure to be an incredible opportunity for one hard working chapter!
Keeping
in mind that success is measured in many different ways. Also new this
year, the Surfrider Foundation has partnered with our friends at Op
to recognize the chapter that successfully recruits the most new members,
relative to the number of current members they have when the drive begins
(The Chapter Growth Award). This chapter will be awarded
a classic twin-fin surfboard from OP!
The 2005 Clif Bar Surfrider Foundation Chapter Membership Drive begins
on Friday May 29th and ends September 6th. All remits must be postmarked,
and on-line registrations must be received by 12:00 AM, PST, September
6th. The goal for 2005 is to acquire 2500 new members throughout the
drive.
*We
count all new members plus all members who have lapsed for more than
a year. So bring 'em back to join us in our fight for our beaches, waves
and oceans!
