Coastal Clean-Up Day

The California Coastal Cleanup Day is the biggest volunteer event focused on the marine environment in the country. This year, Surfrider and REI are teaming-up to clean Monterey State Beach. Last year, more than 60,000 volunteers worked together to collect more than 90,000 pounds of trash. Please come be part of the momentous occasion with your local Monterey Chapter.

Panel Discussion

Come join us for a discussion with local experts on climate change and what we can do about it at a local level.

When: Saturday, September 13th, 2:00pm-4:00pm

Where: Chautauqua Hall, 16th Street at Central Ave., Pacific Grove

Topic: Climate change already has, and will increasingly, affect us on the Central Coast. How will our environment be affected as a result of a changed climate over the years to come? What can we do to respond to these changes?
