Rise Above Plastics and Ban the Bag in Bellingham!!!
Rise Above Campaign has a new partner with the same campaign! Ban the Bag in Bellingham is also a volunteer run grassroots campaign that is working to ban free single-use plastic bags in Bellingham, WA. Their goal is also to dramatically reduce plastic bag consumption while promoting environmental sustainability and awareness within our community through proposing a minimal consumption-based fee on plastic bags. Their proposal suggest that generated revenue will fund reusable bag giveaway programs, in addition to environmental education and clean-up programs through the city.
