Sunset Party Nights - OC Surfrider Nite

Join the Surfrider Foundation Community in co-hosting the surf music band The Diamondheads.
Surfrider is partnering with the OCDC and Town of OC on this music
event. Volunteers are needed to assist in cleaning up any debris after
the event, and to provide one or two volunteers to sell beer (only if
needed). Proceeds from the OC Recreation Boosters beer sales will go
towards the youth recreational programs at Northside Park. Bring your lawn chairs!

The Diamondheads
The Diamondheads
are from Baltimore, MD, and have been playing together for nearly a
decade. The band plays a blend of classic surf guitar instrumentals and
50s/60s-inspired Diamondheads surf guitar originals. The Diamondheads
are on the Single Coil record label and CDs include, "Diamondhead at
Dusk," "The Diamondheads," and contributions on several compilation
discs. The band is currently working on a yet-to-be-titled 3rd full
length CD. The Diamondheads
play mostly events and festivals, such as the Ocean City MD Surfrider
Foundation Longboard Challenge, Muzikfest, and The Jalopy Showdown.
They have shared the stage with surf music greats such as Dick Dale,
Slacktone, The Balboas, The Lava Rats & many more. Phil Dirt
(Reverb Central) has called The Diamondheads one of the premier surf bands on the East Coast. The Diamondheads have been participating in OC Surfrider Foundation events (luau, golf tournament, longboard challenge) for the past 4 years.
