Oregon Conservation Network Priorities for 2009

With the Oregon State Legislature having gone into session this past week, the conservation community has identified their priorities for action. These priorities include: Implementing Global Warming Solutions, Promoting Water Conservation, Preserving Oregon's Coastal Legacy, Increasing Transportation Options, Ensuring New Energy Supplies are Responsible, and Stopping the Spread of Invasive Species. As a member of OCN, Surfrider has some unique opportunities to plug in with a coalition of conservation organizations and citizens around the state to advocate for needed policy reform. To learn more about these priorities and track them through the legislative process, visit http://www.oregonpriorities.org/ and sign up for Salem Watch.
