Oregon Beach Monitoring Program
The program is run by The Department of Environmental Toxicology Section Beach Monitoring Program and The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). The Beach Monitoring Program is an EPA grant funded program that is designed to help states monitor the water quality along their coasts and estuaries. Tests are run on coastal waters to determine whether or not there are any pollutants present. Click Here for the data collected in 2002, the preseason 2003 and all 2003 data. Coos Bay Chapter tests identical beaches as DHS/DEQ. Coos Bay Chapter posts DEQ's testing results on Surfrider's Blue Water Task Force web site as well. Surfrider tests at different days, and at different locations at the beaches as does DEQ.

It shows several shots of Half Moon Bay, Westport, WA over the years and the problems with the "solutions" the city and Army Corps have put forward so far. Go to: http://www.fogh.org
