One of the most simple and efficient ways to donate to the Surfrider Foundation is by contributing through EarthShare in your workplace charity campaign. EarthShare is a nationwide network of the country's most respected environmental and conservation organizations and offers a simple way to care for our precious natural resources. EarthShare's program gives working people an easy and efficient opportunity to support environmental charities like the Surfrider Foundation through payroll contribution at the workplace.
When you contribute to the Surfrider Foundation through EarthShare, you pledge that a small amount of each paycheck be automatically deducted to help protect our oceans, waves and beaches. Think about it . . . . if you get paid every two weeks and you pledge $25 per paycheck (less than a tank of gas!!!) in one year you will have made a $650 gift to the Surfrider Foundation.
Want to give to other environmental charities besides just the Surfrider Foundation? EarthShare provides the option to distribute your gift to multiple organizations or to give a single gift that is distributed among all of its members, covering the widest variety of environmental and conservation issues. The choice is yours.
More and more companies now allow their employees to contribute to the Surfrider Foundation through EarthShare. Among them: American Airlines, Time Warner, Wells Fargo, The New York Times, American Express, Avon Products, HBO, Siemens, Gannett, Hewlett Packard, UnitedHealth Group, Sears, Home Depot and Wal-Mart.

Giving Through Your United Way Campaign
Several local United Ways include EarthShare in their list of charities. United Way donors in the areas of Washington, DC; Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC; Rhode Island; Washtenaw County, MI; and San Diego, CA may designate their United Way donations to the Surfrider Foundation through EarthShare. Even if EarthShare is not listed in your company’s United Way campaign brochure, you may still donate to EarthShare and any of EarthShare’s member organizations by writing in a “donor choice” option.
