Bag Ban Effort
Project Description
Laguna Beach HS Surfrider Club worked with South OC Chapter of Surfrider Foundation to have bag ban and EPS foodservice ban legislation agendized with Laguna Beach City Council and City Manager for a February 2012 5-0 unanimous approval vote. Students attended various council meetings and participated in high-profile distribution of reusable bags provided by the City of Laguna Beach and given out at Whole Foods on several weekends.
