Mayaguez, PR — A group of volunteers from Surfrider Rincón visited the Mayaguez Campus of the University of Puerto Rico to speak with students about the "Salva Tres Palmas" campaign. Over fifty students enjoyed a slideshow of local images taken by Rincón Surfrider volunteer and photographer Rachel Tanner. After the slideshow, Surfrider Rincón provided a detailed overview of the "Salva Tres Palmas" campaign including the history of the campaign, the process to seek permanent protection and information on the upcoming public hearings on the legislation to establish a Marine Reserve in Rincón.
