February 7, 2006 – Planning Board Washes Hands during Second Public Hearing on Sandy Beach Apartments

San Juan, PR – The Planning Board washed its hands of the controversy surrounding the permitting process for the Sandy Beach Apartments in Rincón and said that the case was under the jurisdiction of the courts.

These declarations were made during a hearing held by the PR House of Representatives’ Socioeconomic Development and Planning Commission presided by Representative José Chico Vega.

"We are evaluating the Planning Board’s position as we are not satisfied that they have completely washed their hands of this case. What we are going to do is a complete investigation of the case," said Manuel Navedo, Director of the Commission.

7 de febrero de 2006 – Segunda Vista Pública - Evade Planificación pleito por Zonificación

San Juna, PR -- La Junta de Planficación se lavó los manos ayer en la controversia en torno al Sandy Beach Apartments, que se construye en Rincón, y señaló que el caso esta bajo la jurisdicción de los tribunales.

Las declaraciones de la Junta fueron hechas durante una vista que efectuó la Comisión de Desarrollo Socioeconómico y Planificación de la Cámara de Representates, que preside el representate José Chico Vega.

"Estamos evaluando esta ponencia de la Junta porque no estamos satisfechos, se lavaron las manos completamente del caso. Lo que vamos a hacer es una investigación completa del expediente", afirmó Manuel Navedo, director de la Comisión.
