Versión española January 4, 2007 – Tres Palmas Tres Años By Steve Tamar Well, another holiday season has come and gone and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves while they could. For Surfrider the festivities culminated with the potluck at the public beach on January 4 as a “happy birthday” for the marine reserve. If you passed by a couple hours earlier and were wondering if those hundreds of people were all coming to the party, I’m sorry to report they did not, but were attending the town’s Three Kings celebration. We still had a very good turnout ourselves, perhaps 130 people as well as the mayor wishing us “felicidades.” The food, as always was excellent, plentiful and varied (I particularly liked the birthday cake for RM3P). Many thanks to Tiffany at Katarina Charters for organizing the event, Tiki Rob for the loan of the sound system and technical support and to all who participated in the percussion jam and dance later in the evening. English version above 4 de enero de 2007 – Tres Palmas Tres Años Por Steve Tamar Espero que todos hayan disfrutado a la medida posible la tem- porada navideña que acaba de llegar e irse. Para Surfrider las fiestas culminaron con una cena en la playa pública el 4 de enero que sirvió de fiesta de cumpleaños para la reserva marina. Si usted estuvo por ahí unas horas antes y se preguntaba si esos cientos de personas venían a la fiesta, lamento informarles que no, que estaban ahí para asistir a la celebración de los Tres Reyes Magos en el pueblo. Aun así tuvimos un buen número de asistentes, quizás unas 130 personas y el alcalde deseándonos felicidades. Como siempre, la comida estuvo excelente, abundante y variada (a mí me gustó en particular el bizcocho de cumpleaños paa RM3P). Le extendemos muchas gracias a Tiffany en Catarina Charters por organizar la actividad, a Tiki Rob for prestarnos el sistema de sonida y apoyo técnico y a todos los que participaron en la sesión del grupo de músicos y el baile que se llevó a cabo luego. ¡Así se empieza el año!
