July 20, 2002 -- More than Just a Clean Up

Surfrider and the Municipality of Rincón joined forces on Saturday, July 20 at Domes to not only collect trash, but also to demonstrate the community's desire to permanently protect the area through the establishment of a Nature Reserve from Domes to Tres Palmas.

Volunteers were joined by city officials including Miguel González, Director of Recycling, for the clean up. Over 25 bags of trash were collected; half of which were recycled.
