28 de Marzo del 2003 -- El Desfile de Moda Reciclable

Barrio Puntas, Rincón -- La Escuela Genoveva Pérez del Barrio Puntas de Rincón llevóó a cabo un desfile de moda de material reciclado. Los estudiantes de quinto grado y miembros del club Eco-Natural crearon trajes de bolsas de basura, tapitas de lata, cartón, papel, soga, foam y plástico. El desfile de moda demostró la creatividad de los estudiantes cuando desfilaron trajes ónicos en estilos de: trajes de novias, de carnival, trajes típicos, ropa casual y otros.

La Fundación Surfrider de Rincón fue invitado como parte del jurado junto con otras organizaciones y oficinas del municipio. Agradecemos a la profesora Crimilda González por invitarnos y la directora Norma Valle por auspiciar un evento de esta índole en su escuela.

March 28, 2003 -- Recycling Fashion Show

Barrio Puntas, Rincón -- The Genoveva Pérez Grammar School in Barrio Puntas, Rincón held a Fashion Show featuring outfits made using recycled materials. Fifth grade students and members of the Eco-Natural club made costumes using trash bags, aluminum can tabs, cardboard, paper, rope, foam and plastic. The fashion show demonstrated the childrens' creativity as the students showed off their unique outfits including: wedding dress, carnival dress, traditional clothing, casual clothing and others.

Surfrider Rincón was invited to participated in the jury panel along with other organizations and municipal agencies. Thanks to Genoveva Pérez Grammar School teacher Crimilda González for inviting Surfrider to participate and principal Norma Valle for sponsoring this unique event at the school.
