Stop the Toll Road: Issues

San Mateo Creek watershed is pristine San Mateo Creek during the dry season, looking inland about one-half mile from the ocean. The tollroad will run on the left side of the creek, harming forever the best remaining free flowing and natural coastal watershed system in Southern CA.
Here are some of the reasons why the FTC-South toll road should not be built (known officially as the "No Project Alternative"):

 Overview

 Destruction of wildlife habitat

Refuge for 7 endangered or threatened species

Damage to San Onofre State Beach Park

Damage to Trestles' waves and water quality

 Encourage suburban sprawl

 Will not solve transportation problems
