Adopt a Hwy, Siuslaw Chapter Surfrider Foundation signs are up.
March 13th 2009, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) installed our Adopt a Hwy, Siuslaw Chapter Surfrider Foundation signs @ mp. 176 Washburn State Park entrance and mp. 174 Ocean Beach Wayside Park on Hwy 101 between Florence and Yachats. This marks the beginning of our partnership with ODOT to keep this 2-mile stretch of the Oregon Coast State Hwy clean, and to help raise people's awareness that trash on the Hwy ends up up on the beach and eventually into the ocean.
