Surfrider/Clean Ocean Action Margate Beach Cleanup
The Margate site turnout was small, about twenty people, but participants were fierce trash haulers. More than half of the helpers were teenagers; ten of them represented Ocean City High School. The volunteers spent part of a beautiful Saturday morning collecting and recording materials that filled approximately 20-25 trash bags. Clean Ocean Action will compile the statistics and issue a report.
COA holds two beach cleans a year; the next one is in spring, 2007. South Jersey Surfrider will participate again, so check our website for details then.
