Texas Surfrider Scholarship Programs
Babe
Schwartz Honorary Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship honors
the dedication of A.R. "Babe" Schwartz, a staunch and vigilant
defender of the Texas Open Beaches Act and an inspiration to the Texas
Surfrider. Applicants must be a member of the Surfrider Foundation. This
grant is for students attending any accredited vocational school, junior
college, community college, college or university at either the undergraduate
or graduate level.
Robert
Christian Eckhardt Memorial Scholarship
This is a $1,000 scholarship
award in memory of Bob
Eckhardt, author of the Texas Open Beaches Act. Applicants must be
a member of the Surfrider Foundation. This grant is for students attending
any accredited vocational school, junior college, community college, college
or university at either the undergraduate or graduate level.
How to apply
Deadline for applications is April 1st of each year. Both scholarships will be awarded at the Texas Chapter General Meeting
in May of each year.
